The event was attended by 1st-year students and faculty members from the Electrical Engineering Department of the Vocational School. The event took place on the 17th floor of Tower on December 14, 2023, between 14:00 and 16:00. The event featured Dr. Nurten ELKİN, the Addiction Prevention Coordinator of Istanbul Gelişim University, and Dr. Deniz YILDIZ, faculty member of the Department of Child Development at the Faculty of Health Sciences, as educators.

During her speech, ELKİN discussed the coordinator role, its objectives, and the importance of preventing addictions. She then handed over the floor to Dr. Deniz YILDIZ. Dr. YILDIZ explained fundamental terminologies related to addiction and addressed questions such as the benefits and harms of technology, is it possible to give up technology, how do we use technology in our lives and for what purposes, how much time do we spend with technology daily, do you think you are addicted to technology, how is screen exposure during childhood, and how can it be limited?
